Franco-Ontarians are francophone Canadians that reside in the province of Ontario, Canada. The Franco Ontario flag is a unique one as it is split into two portions with a corresponding symbolic colour and design. The left side has a solid green background to represent the summer months, while the white background on the right side represents the winter months. The trillium on the left side is Ontario's flower. Respectively, the fleur-de-lys on the right side represents the French Canadian heritage.
